Eerlijk gezegd moet ik er nog een beetje aan wennen, koper als kleur in het interieur en voor accessoires. Maar dat wennen lukt heel aardig met dit mooie beeld op het blog van het inspirerende Zweedse tijdschrift Plaza Interiör.

To be honest I have to get used to the idea of copper as a colour for the interior and accessoires. I guess it'll grow on me, especially when I see this beautiful picture on the blog of the inspiring Swedish magazine Plaza Interiör.

Winterwonderland

Vanmiddag, onderweg naar huis moest ik even afstappen om wat foto's te maken van winterwonderland...

Pink Monday #1

Vanaf nu elke maandag een mooie, roze foto om de maandag een beetje op te fleuren... en de (werk) week goed te beginnen!

Moustache

Je ziet ze al een tijdje, snorren. Natuurlijk in November in verband met Movember waar ik toen hier ook over schreef maar het lijkt nu wel of ze echt overal opduiken! Suzanne, van &Suus, gebruikte een stukje 'snorrentape' om een potje op te leuken en zorgde daarmee voor een run op de tape die te koop is bij Flying Tiger... ;)
Ook als woonaccessoires duiken de snorren op. Hieronder een aantal foto's ter inspiratie, meer vind je op mijn Pinterest bord 'Moustache'.

They've been around for a while, moustaches. Of course in November because of Movember about which I wrote here too but it looks like moustaches are really everywhere now! Suzanne of the blog &Suus used a piece of 'moustache tape' to decorate an empty jar which led to many people going to Flying Tiger (the shop where the tape is sold)... ;)

Something old...

Qua inrichting en accessoires is mijn smaak de laatste jaren steeds eenvoudiger, strakker en kleurlozer geworden. Toch kon ik vorig jaar op een grote rommelmarkt dit oude koekblik niet laten staan. In eerste instantie deed ik dat wel maar ik vond 'em zo leuk dat ik terug ben gegaan om 'em toch maar te kopen... Nu doet de trommel dienst als bewaarblik voor zelfgebakken cake!

With regard to interior design and accessories my taste has become simpler, more austere and less colourful the past few years. Despite that I just had to buy this biscuit tin when I was at a big jumble sale. First I just left it at the stand but later I went back to get it because I liked it so much... Now the tin is used to store my homemade cake.

Stoer

Eigenlijk vind ik dat de amaryllis hoort bij kerst, en de periode ervoor, maar ook nu kom je ze nog tegen. Afgelopen week was ik bij Dudok in Arnhem. De zaak was nog versierd voor de feestdagen met o.a. amaryllisbollen. Hier stonden de bollen niet in vaasjes of potjes maar stonden ze op een klein, oud taartvormpje of gewoon los. Sommige bollen waren goud geverfd, niet echt mijn ding maar het stond wel mooi in het geheel. Omdat amarylisstelen nogal zwaar zijn waren de bollen hier en daar omgevallen... mooi!

In my opinion the amaryllis belongs to Christmas and the period before but now you still see them. Last week I was in Arnhem and had drinks at a restaurant called Dudok. There were still Christmas decorations in the restaurant, amongst others also amaryllis bulbs. Here the bulbs weren't placed in small vases or pots but they were placed on old, small cake tins or just without anything at all. Some bulbs were painted gold, not really my cup of tea but it looked nice next to the candles and other bulbs. Because the amaryllis stem is quite heavy some of the bulbs had fallen which gave a nice effect!

In november schreef ik hier ook al over Dudok. Het blijft een fijne plek om te lunchen of een borrel te doen, niet alleen vanwege de lekkere dingen op de kaart maar vooral ook omdat ik het gebouw zo mooi vind. En daarom nog een foto van de plafondlampen...

In November I also wrote about Dudok here. I still find it a great place to have lunch or drinks, not only because of the delicious food on the menu but mainly also because I just love the building. And therefore another picture of the lights on the ceiling...
